Insta 485 - Part 2 Serverside
An Instagram clone implemented with server-side dynamic pages. This is the second of an EECS 485 three project sequence: a static site generator from templates, server-side dynamic pages, and client-side dynamic pages.

In this project, you will implement a MapReduce server in Python. This will be a single-machine, multi-process, multi-threaded server that will execute user-submitted MapReduce jobs. It will run each job to completion, handling failures along the way, and write the output of the job to a given directory.

Concept for a web application to help people waste less food, and recommend recipes that use items that are about to expire.

Search Engine
A scalable search engine similar to Google or Bing. Create a segmented inverted index of web pages using a pipeline of MapReduce programs. Then, wrap the inverted index in an Index server REST API service, which is segmented by document. Finally, provide a front-end user interface that communicates with the collection of Index segment servers and returns ranked search results.

Insta 485 - Part 3 Client-side Dynamic Pages
Build an application using client-side dynamic pages and a REST API. Reuse server-side code from project 2, refactoring portions of it into a REST API. Write a client application in JavaScript that runs in the browser and makes AJAX calls to the REST API.

In a semester-long project, I was in charge of developing the front end of an Android application using Java, Kotlin, and Jetpack Compose to help people solve jigsaw puzzles with only a reference image and a picture of the puzzle piece.
